Exeter Driving Test Centre
The driving test at Exeter takes about 40 minutes, including an eye test, Show Me ,Tell Me questions, around 10 minutes of individual driving and a movement.

Your practical will follow this basic structure:
- An eyesight test, where you’ll need to read a number plate from a distance of 20 metres
- Two “show me, tell me” questions covering vehicle safety and maintenance
- Twenty minutes of general driving, where you’ll be guided by the examiner
- Twenty minutes of independent driving, during which you’ll either follow sat nav directions or sign posts to reach a set destination
You will also need to perform one of the following manoeuvres
- Parallel parking
- Bay parking
- Pulling up on the right

Located on the Marsh Barton estate means the traffic can be very busy during rush hour. Marsh Barton however is very well signposted . The Exeter Driving Test Centre is situated off Silverton Road in Thorverton Road.
